Neighbourhood Planning is a tier of Planning Policy that empowers communities to shape the development and growth of a local area. It is important to highlight that Neighbourhood Plans must be in conformity with the East Herts District Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
The District Planning Committee is appointed at the annual Council meeting to consider, on behalf of the Council, recommendations from Area Planning Committees. The membership is drawn from the Eastern and Western Area Planning Committees. Provisional meetings are arranged but will only be held when applications are referred up.
